Serrano Park Community 
Red Imported Fire Ants have been found in Serrano Park. Be on the lookout for them and contact OC Vector Control if you find them in your yard. Do not attempt to control them yourself.
The photo of the colony to the right was taken in Abeto Park near the main large grass area near the walkway to the left side of the pool. Apparently, these ants prefer well irrigated areas such as turf.
These ants are smallish in size and look exactly like the photo below. They are fast, aggressive, and can be dangerous.
