We have babies!
Large Tree Maintenance
Two to three times a year the Landscape Committee (LC) of the Serrano Park Community Association (SPC) walks and reviews the Trees through-out the association’s entire 32 acres of green common areas.
Landscape Vision
We are in the process of developing a long-term plan and that plan needs a community vision as the goal.
Recruiting Volunteers
The Landscape Committee needs volunteers willing to help on a number of projects but do not want to be involved in official meetings.
Mosquitoes
Vector control has just checked the Amapola slope drainage ditch and did not find any mosquito larva. There is some stagnant water present but it is moving slowly. He said that the mosquitoes are most likely coming from homeowner’s lawns and ponds.
Request for Community Help
The Landscape Committee is very understaffed for the projects we are attempting and can use your help.
If you see something, please say something
Landscaping issues should be reported to Keystone by filling out a maintenance request form on the serranopark.net webpage
Street Tree Project
We have changed the plan this year for less trimming to minimize this stress in an effort to extend their life as long as possible while a replacement plan is formed and adopted.
Landscape Management Plan
The Landscape Committee is currently updating the way we manage our trees and greenbelts to encompass modern Urban Forest Management techniques.
